“I’ve always been skeptical of expensive personal trainers and never thought they could be value for money. I’d been training for several years but never managed to get into the condition I wanted. With 6 months to go until my wedding I knew it was now or never to get in shape.”

 

Having Tom with me at every stage explaining how things worked and how each session would contribute to my goals meant not only did I understand how my body works, but what worked for me. Did I achieve my goals – yes I did, and not only did I look good for the wedding, I still look good now (even with all the wedding cake!). I can’t recommend Tom enough – he works you hard but it’s worth it!!”

 

Tom spent our initial consultation listening to my goals, budget and timescale. Having assessed my basic health and fitness, we created together a timetable of sessions and diet that would give me what I wanted – extra muscles in all the right places; but not just beach muscles – real long lasting results.

 

Progressing from stretching exercises, flexibility sessions and lessons in basic weightlifting techniques to full on strength training, I was taught both the techniques and attitude required to succeed. One of the things that is brilliant about Tom’s training is his flexibility in how we achieved my goals – my budget would only allow me two 121 sessions a week, but I visited the gym on other occasions with a planned routine that Tom had created for me – this wasn’t an excuse for an easy session, as I had to monitor my performance in a diary which was then checked by Tom when we next met!

 

Tom also taught me about the importance of food and the correct nutrition in achieving my goals. We undertook certain tests to ascertain what kind of supplements would help me with my training – as the training was tailored to my body type, Tom created a bespoke diet that would further gain the results I wanted. You’ve heard of the ‘cut’ – this was only achieved through this attention to detail and a total understanding of how healthy eating could work for me.

 

The progress was monitored and documented with weekly weighing sessions and photographic evidence. It may sound simple, but when you can actually see the changes taking place, its gives you the reassurance and motivation to keep working harder.

I have to tell you now – it’s really hard work, and you have to put in the hours.
